Hi, some of you may have seen this issue posted on the re-tune needed for Mediaworks channels but I havent had any luck trying to fix it so I've created a thread for itI have not changed any settings what so ever only did a rescan as per the original post. Ive take a couple of screen shots of my issue to make it clearer. The two at the top have the EPG collector end whereas the 2 x TVNZ channels there is no EPG collector option. Hi, I just managed to get a full epg on my win 7computer using wmc...all excited BUT is there any way to watch recorded tv programmes that are wtv files on ps3 using media server streaming it to my lounge TV? The files do not show in the folder on the ps3!....so close but so far away!....any one have a way around this....it would be much appreciated....thanks for any help in advance...:)

As the topic states, how do I pull down a RT News EPG? I'm using Mediaportal, if that can't do it, is there a third party program I can defer to? RT and a bunch of religious channels coming down through Optus D2. Thanks.

Hi everyone -I'm having some pretty frustrating problems getting EPG Collector (V4.0 Fixpak 1) to work properly with my new Windows 8 / Freeview HTPC setup. It's a fresh system - there's nothing of note installed on it other than WMC 8, the EPG Collector and the drivers for my TBS6280 DVB-T/T2 card.Unfortunately the problems I'm having seem similar to the ones described in the locked "EPG Collector not uploading to Windows Media Center 7 after retune" thread from a few months ago, which seemed to end without a firm resolution.I've uploaded the contents of the INI file and most recent log here: http://pastebin.com/43s02miyEssentially, according to EPG Collector's logs, the data appears to be fetched and imported into WMC successfully; but then the EPG data doesn't appear, partially appears (for some channels - currently only TV3 PLUS1, PRIME, ChoiceTV, The Shopping Channel, Parliament TV and Radio NZ National) or completely appears but then disappears again at some point in the following few hours. I've seen the issue where programmes have '.' titles as described in the previous thread too, but that only happened once. I've tried disabling inband listings in WMC, but this didn't make any difference.I'm now at a loss as to how either to solve the problem or further trace where it's going wrong.If anyone can help, Milky Bars are on me!

Hi, the epg with media center appears to be unlicensed after 01/01/2013. I'm assuming Microsoft has pulled the plug and other forums seem to suggest this.I'm trying to configure EPGcollector to work with media center now but after running, it does not pick up a signal from my two tuners onboard (1 x Hauppage 1 x generic USB) and fails. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?I've tried changing all sorts of parameters but still no luck. I'm tuning to DVB/T and using Scotland Durris transmitter with I think 546Hz. I'm selecting the option to import directly to WMC Thanks for any help or advice

Well either the dish has moved, the satellite finder is stuffed, tuner has died or the LNB is shagged. Either way I'm all out of EPG.Would some kind soul be able to PM me with a URL for an XMLTV guide for Sky and Freeview data?I'm usually self-sufficient with EPG Collector and DVB-S EIT, but suffering big time.Thanks Heaps!

just discovered that my "3 News" series request wasn't recording new 'episides'. I tried mucking around with the series settings - for example: record new and reruns - in MCE but to no avail. To me, it looks like the numbering is identical for each showing of "3 News" at 6pm on subsequent days. I expect this is the cause. Looking at the same data for "One News at 6pm" I can see that subsequent showings are incremented sequentially.Anyone else running into issues with "3 News"?

Hello everyoneIn the last few months a couple of people have asked about getting EPG data for some of the channels available from Optus D2. As you may be aware, there is no EPG data broadcast from that satellite. This thread is intended to be a discussion of that situation and possible solutions for it.//----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Before I go any further...1. Anyone who has access to Optus D2 knows that there are a lot of special interest channels broadcast from that satellite. Sometimes when D2 (or even Freeview) are mentioned on GZ there one or two people who take the opportunity to slip in disparaging comments about certain channels. In the interests of encouraging people to freely talk about their interest in EPG data for any channel, I would respectfully request that anyone who post in this thread would refrain from making public judgements about the content or value of channels.2. Some broadcasters, content rights holders and channel aggregators seem to have an issue with people who provide EPG data sources for use with HTPCs. It is not my intention to attract the anger of such organisations onto myself or anybody else who provides an EPG service or posts in this thread. Nor is it my intention to infringe on any intellectual property. If anybody has an issue with the content that I choose to post in this thread then kindly send me a PM and I'll be happy to take your concerns into consideration.Thanks.//----------------------------------------------------------------------------------So lets talk about possible solutions...One solution might be to source EPG data from an alternative XMLTV data source. Some of the popular channels on D2 such as RT, NHK World and Press TV are available with EPG in other parts of the world. If you can find an EPG source with the channels that you want then you may be sorted. However non-AU sources can be problematic as the data may require time zone conversion or not reflect the content of the local feed of the channel.Another solution could be to write a website scraper. This solution would take a little bit more effort to develop but with a bit of work it could prove give the best outcomes (in terms of data accuracy, richness, customisation) in the long run. Of course, websites sometimes change format, so there are maintenance issues.A third solution might be to redistribute data that is broadcast over-the-air. For example, Daystar and Russia Today are available from both Sky and Optus D2. I'm not sure whether Sky broadcasts include EPG for those channels or how happy Sky would be about redistribution of that data but that is another potential solution for some channels.I can't think of any other solutions at present. Then Sky came to the rescue and the website had to be taken down. I stopped using and developing the script shortly after as I lost access to D2. However I still have that script and some of the channels still work (hurray for websites not being updated in 3 years!). I've spent a couple of hours updating the script and now have basic data for the following channels:Russia TodayPress TVNHK WorldTBNJCTV/Smile Of A ChildThe Church ChannelAlthough I no longer have access to D2, I'd be happy to consider making the script or data available in some form or another. Maybe even maintaining or extending it depending on interest. Hi,I'm having some trouble with series link not linking on many occasions using WMC7 and EPG Collector 4.I series link a program say last week, and the EPG in WMC7 shows the triple recording icon indicating that series link is active, but the next week I see the program again without the series link icons. So thinking that I haven't created a link, I do it again, to later discover that I had created a link and now I have 2 series links for the same program under my scheduled recordings settings.Any suggestions why this might be are greatly appreciated, as its quite frustrating when you get the first part of the Top Gear Africa special but then you miss the second because the link is not supposedly setup properly, even thou there is 2 or 3 different Top Gear links in the scheduled recordings. It looks like the satellite MHEG5 data for Freeview is currently only being broadcast for today. EIT data seems OK.Anybody else notice this and what's it like on terrestrial at the moment?

okay I'm trying epg Centre v4.1 patch 6. I can't get it to give me guid data or find channels. I'm using Silicondust hdhomerun Tuner, (3/28/13) firmware. Windows mce is working find, see that channels, and gets most of the guide data. I was hoping to get the rest with ota guid data from epg centre. Here is the log file. Hi,I'm missing data for a few channels in WMC (1-4, 6,8,9 and 18 (not that I care about the Shopping Channel)). Not sure why data not being 'received' - those channels have a record # listed next to them in the log file? Can anybody help? I'm new to using EPG Collector (4.1) to transfer EPG data direct into WMC so could be missing something pretty obvious... Why is the EPG available via Freeview so poorly presented. It would have to be the worst possible EPG available anywhere. Why Freeview did not invest in the PACE one which SKY use which works so much better and is fast to page through the channels. Instead they try to reinvert the wheel and fail miserably
